Hello! I’m Michelle "Meesh" Wozniak, an illustrator and small business owner based in Maryland, creating bird-focused art inspired by nature.

Much of my work centers around birds often paired with botanical elements and drawn in a style that feels soft, simplified, and a little silly. I run a monthly bird mail club where subscribers receive stickers alongside collectible info cards inspired by vintage cigarette and tea cards from the early 1900s. It’s a personal passion project that’s educational, nostalgic, and fun to collect.

Outside of the club, I also run online shops selling prints, stickers, and small goods. My goal is to make art that invites people to maybe fall in love with a bird they’ve never noticed before.

When I'm not drawing, I’m probably outside birdwatching, reading old books, or hanging out with my dove, Pearl, who supervises my creative process and has been with me through every step. He’s the heart behind much of what I do.

I work primarily digitally using Clip Studio Paint and an old, trusty Wacom tablet, but I’m also experienced with traditional media and fiber arts. I'm currently open to licensing, editorial illustration, educational collaborations, and other projects that celebrate birds, natural science, or conservation.

Meet Pearl

Pearl is my 28-year-old albino ringneck dove and lifelong companion. I’ve had him since childhood, and he’s been by my side (or on my lap) through every chapter of my life. He’s my muse and my soul mate.

Now in his senior years, Pearl has some arthritis and other age-related quirks that keep him mostly grounded. But that doesn’t stop him from exploring the house on foot, spelunking under furniture, or falling asleep on his favorite warm salt lamp. He loves basking in the sun, mooching snacks (especially apples and millet), and generally being a grumpy little old man in the sweetest way possible.

Pearl is at the heart of everything I do - he is present for every sketch, every shipping day, and every quiet moment in between.

He is very cute.

FAQs

  • Occasionally! If commissions are open, I’ll make an announcement on my platforms. They tend to fill quickly, so thank you for your interest!

  • Due to new international shipping rules (like VAT & customs paperwork), I can’t ship directly to some countries unless it’s through my Etsy shop with tracked shipping. For untracked shipping, I offer letter mail internationally via my Ko-fi shop for small, flat orders (like a few stickers). Please note, untracked letter mail can be unreliable, and I don’t use it for bigger items like sticker sheets, pins, etc. I know it's frustrating - it’s not ideal for small creators like me either, so thank you for your patience and understanding!

  • Orders are typically packed and shipped within 3 - 6 business days. Important: letter mail does not include tracking and can take 1 - 5+ weeks depending on location.

  • Unfortunately, I’m not able to combine or edit orders once they’ve been placed. With multiple platforms and a quick packing process, it's tricky to manage changes after the fact.

  • For untracked letter mail: Unfortunately, I’m not able to locate or replace items that go missing in transit. However, I'm happy to troubleshoot on a case-by-case basis. I try to be as generous and fair as I can.

    For tracked packages: If your tracking hasn't updated in a while or says "delivered" but you didn’t receive it, you can often get things moving again by filing a Missing Mail Request with USPS.
